    • Why Choose St. Edward for Early Childhood?

St. Edward's first opened its doors to the smallest members of our community in the fall of 2000. Our mission has been simple, to ignite a love of learning at an early age while also building a solid foundation in their social, emotional, physical, and spiritual development.

We found that families embrace our approach and enjoy seeing their children thrive in a warm and engaging environment with a curriculum based on open-ended activities where the process is just as important as the end product.

Our classrooms are invigorating and lively while being warm and nurturing.  These settings provide the ideal place for each child to grow and to reach his or her fullest potential.

Our Early Education Program is comprised of families from many different religious backgrounds united in our desire to raise compassionate citizens of the world. At an early age, children are taught how to be kind, inclusive, and to serve their community.

All children must be toilet-trained prior to entering the nursery program and must be three by December 1st of the current year.

Our Nursery Program was designed to help each child develop skills needed for Kindergarten.

Skills we practice in the classroom:

    • "Having sent both of my children to St. Edwards Preschool, I have been extremely happy with the teacher and their unique way of creating a nurturing learning environment. As a parent, knowing that they are receiving an excellent education in an atmosphere that is so welcoming is more than comforting to us."  - Tricia Lauretano, Parent

    • Pre-Kindergarten

All children must be four by December 1st of the current year.

St. Edward's Pre-K program is aimed at helping each student develop all the skills needed for Kindergarten. Our Pre-K students are enthusiastic learners that are immersed in reading, writing, math, science, social studies, religion, and the arts. A small class setting provides a fine quality of education for every student. Our program offers a half-day or full-day option.

There is an emphasis on kind social interaction with peers while exposing them to academics (Pre-reading, writing, numbers, shapes, colors, calendar, and weather). Activities are chosen to encourage the fine and gross motor skills appropriate for this age group.
